Homeschool Day at the Capitol

2017 Day at the Capitol

DUE to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the Homeschool Day at the Capitol has been cancelled for 2017.  Please pray with us that this important, educational and representative event will be able to resume in 2018.

The Home Educator's Day at the Capitol is a great educational experience for the entire family!  There’s no better way to teach your children Washington State Civics than to visit the seat of our state government, to visit your legislators, and to learn first hand how our government and citizen participation work!

Why Attend the Day at the Capitol?

In order to stand up for our homeschooling freedoms we need to stand together, we need to be informed, and most importantly, we need to come to Olympia and let our voices be heard! Take a break from your regular school day and join us in Olympia to honor the hardworking men and women of the legislature. Space at the State Capitol is very limited so you will need to pre-register for this event.

Apple Pie Tradition

Each year we have been able to deliver a homemade apple pie to all 147 legislators, the Governor and lt. Governor. We are praying to be able to do so again this year. So please, bake & deliver pies whether you can attend the event or not. This year again, we want the governor, lieutenant governor, and every legislator to receive one! Combine efforts with friends in your area; some can bake pies and another can deliver! Read More>>
