Men, Equip Yourself & Your Sons for Leadership!
God created all men with the responsibility to lead … and to teach their sons to do so.
To lead—first, in their homes … then, in their churches, workplaces, and communities. But the baton of Godly leadership has largely been dropped in the past several generations, and many men today have been inadequately prepared for this huge & crucial responsibility. To lead well and confidently, and to teach their sons to do so, they must first be equipped.
He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will suffer harm. ~ Proverbs 13:20 ~
Toward this end, Christian Heritage presents a rare and invaluable opportunity for both you and your sons to walk with & learn from one of the wisest & most effective Christian father/son leadership teams in today’s world:
- The 2007 Christian Heritage Father/Son Retreat: “Passing the Baton of Godly Leadership to the Next Generation”
- August 23-25th
- Lazy F Camp, Ellensburg, WA (more details below)
SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS: Geoffrey Botkin & Sons:*
Mr. Botkin (of New Zealand & currently San Antonio, TX) has a Biblical, 200 year vision for his family. He purposes to take every personal thought captive to Jesus Christ, for his five sons & two daughters to do the same, and then for each of them to live according to God’s Word in every sphere of their lives.
- Geoffrey Botkin has served the Lord through many arenas: He has written and directed some of the most controversial [from a secular viewpoint] and widely watched public affairs films of the last twenty years; has produced or co-produced over a hundred documentary films, television productions and other media projects; has trained many young media professionals; has been CEO of an experimental international print/broadcast/ internet media conglomerate; and has lectured widely on philosophy, history, political media, filmaking, and theology . . . to name a few of his accomplishments. (See links or bottom of page for a more complete bio.)
- Mr. Botkin’s seven children have worked alongside him on many of these projects and have recently established the Western Conservatory of the Arts and Sciences not only to honor their father’s “vision of reclamation of Christendom, but to build on that vision and continue the process of discipleship for families, churches, and communities… [extending] to vigorous Christian maturity and leadership in all areas of society, including the gates of business, media, jurisprudence, science, education, and church planting.”
- Personable and powerfully effective in communicating God’s wisdom, Mr. Botkin & his sons will challenge you & your sons to raise your sights and think of Christian life & leadership in ways you’ve never considered before. They will also help equip you for your crucial God-given task: to purposefully & pro-actively lead the current & future generations for God’s glory!
- Read here about this dynamic family and the important work to which God has called them. (Check the other pages on their website, too.)
This Retreat provides a great camping experience and a great time for fathers & sons to be together. But it is NOT JUST a camp out! It is a pivotal opportunity for you and your sons to grow together in your God-given calling to lead faithfully according to His Word.
- All your sons in their teens and twenties NEED to hear the Botkins’ messages … and to walk & talk with them, as well. This weekend could well change their lives – and yours! Bring younger sons, too, and whet their appetites for God’s charge for them.

He has produced or executive-produced more than 100 documentary films, television productions and other media projects.
In addition to time spent as CEO of an experimental international print/broadcast/internet media conglomerate, Mr. Botkin has invested many years in the training of young media professionals, primarily at Deerwood Studios in the US and the Family Television Network of New Zealand.
Mr. Botkin has lectured on philosophy and history at Hillsdale College, on political media at the Heritage Foundation, and on theology at Worldview Conferences in the US and New Zealand. He … lives on New Zealand’s Seven Arrows Ranch with his wife and seven children, where he is completing pre-production research on several feature films.
Mr. Botkin is considered by many to be the nation’s most capable producer of culture-changing documentaries, and the leading authority on the philosophical foundations of modern scriptwriting. Mr. Botkin has served five American presidential aspirants as an advisor, but has focused most of his time strengthening churches and families, including his own.
Geoffrey is the father of Anna Sofia and Elizabeth Botkin, recent co-authors of Vision Forum’s best-selling book, So Much More, a book which is reintroducing the West to concepts of multigenerational family fruitfulness and the ways daughters can become cultural leaders by becoming dynamic assets of family and church.
