The doctors are preparing her now for surgery to remove pressure on her brain from a blood clot. Cynthia and her family just returned on Sunday from their trip to the Sufficiency of Scripture Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.

• Cynthia has a passion for mothers and daughters and has been spearheading the Mothers and Daughters of Virtue monthly meetings in Lynden for nearly two years now.
• Cynthia and her husband Bill have long been great supporters and members of Christian Heritage and we ask that you would please keep them in your prayers at this critical time.
• Please pray for the surgeons during the surgery and for her family including their children at home—Adam, William, Krista, and Teddy—and their two older sons, Andrew (Craig) and Roy (with wife Melissa).

We so appreciate and love Cynthia and her family and we know they covet your prayers for the surgery and for her full recovery.

Bryan Pollock’s Long Fight with Cancer

As many of you know, Bryan Pollock, pastor of Pilgrim Bible Church and co-founder and board member of Christian Heritage, began a valiant battle with cancer three and half years ago.

His family, church family, and friends have been fervently praying that God would heal this loving husband & father, influential Christian leader, and faithful shepherd. But on Monday night, our beloved brother completed his well fought journey and is now face to face with Christ.

We deeply grieve his passing and will all miss him greatly. But, at the same time, we rejoice with joy unspeakable that he is free from suffering and enjoying continual fellowship with the Lord he loved and served so selflessly on this earth.

Please Pray for Bryan’s Family

Bryan’s faithful wife Susan was at his side through every step of this fight and continued to care for him at home where he was able to be together with her and their nine children, ages 20-2, until as his son Jonathan shared, “… he merely fell asleep and awoke in Heaven.”

Pray for God to Raise Up Other Much-Needed Spiritual Leaders like Bryan Pollock

Bryan’s life will continue to stand as a powerful testimony to all who knew him. Stalwart faithfulness, holy affection for God, passion for the truth of God’s Word, loving father, husband, & pastor—these are just a few of the qualities that shone from his life.

With his passing, Washington has lost one of it’s greatest Christian leaders, pastors, theologians, orators, and reformers. Words cannot express our gratitude for this man of faith. May we all be inspired to follow his example!

The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread? …
Though a host encamp against me,
My heart will not fear …
One thing I have asked from the LORD,
that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD
And to meditate in His temple.
