Introduction to the Christian Heritage Board
Meet the Christian Heritage Board of Directors
The Christian Heritage board is formed of seasoned veteran homeschoolers. Each is motivated by a sincere love of God and His Church and a humble desire to aid in His work by serving and ministering to the home educators of Washington State. Several of these families have spent time in the trenches fighting for the freedom to home educate. They have all spent years persevering in the homeschooling venture and have tasted its wonderful fruits. Each now has grown children who have embraced their parents’ Biblical beliefs and convictions as their own.
Neil Craig, President, Executive Director
In 1982, Neil and Mary Craig began homeschooling their five children who now range in age from 32-18. Neil and Mary are reaping the benefits of homeschooling as each of their children loves the Lord and is serving Him. Their first grandchild was born in March 2007. Neil served for ten years at Back to the Bible Broadcast as their arranger/accompanist and Director of Music, after which the Craig family worked with Russian orphans for seven years, living in Moscow, Russia and Indianapolis, Indiana. The Craigs currently reside in Spokane, Washington where Neil owns and operates a Fed Ex route. Music continues to be an important part of their lives and ministry – they love to sing and play their musical instruments together! (11/2007)
Michael Bradrick, Vice President
Michael & Susan Bradrick are blessed to be parents of nine children who love & serve the Lord, ages 19-38. The Bradrick family has homeschooled since 1981 and over the years have spoken together at many homeschool groups and conferences nationwide. They are founders and directors of Family Discipleship Ministries and co-founders of Christian Heritage Home Educators of Washington. The family lives on a small farm near Montesano, WA where they raise pastured meat products and delight in sharing ministry & hospitality with the many who come their way. Michael is also a woodworker by trade. The Bradricks are also greatly blessed to be grandparents of (presently) twenty-four-–all of whom are being home educated. (3/09)
Tim Roth, Treasurer
Tim Roth and his wife, Ruth, began their homeschooling journey nineteen years ago and are the proud parents of seven sons and two daughters, ages 7-28. Their two oldest sons are in full time ministry and their oldest daughter as married in February 2007. Tim has served as a pastor for 33 years and currently pastors South Kitsap Alliance Church in Port Orchard, WA. He enjoys filling the roles of father, teacher, pastor, and chaplain for the local Fire Department. The Roth family actively ministers together to people in their church, in their community, and in the homeschooling community across the state. (11/2007)
Bret Bryan, Secretary
Bret & Sandy have been married 25 years and have 2 children ages 17 (Matthew) & 20 (Leanne) and began homeschooling nearly 18 years ago. They currently live on a mini-farm in Port Orchard, WA with an ever changing array of critters. Bret manages the Puyallup branch of ProGrass, a landscape firm, & owns & operates a family-based Home Inspection Service. The Bryans spent over 10 years organizing mission trips to Scotland & Ireland. They served for several years on the board of the Whatcom Homeschool Association and helped to organize a smaller Christian homeschool support group in Whatcom County. They enjoy serving and practicing hospitality at church & abroad. The family loves to travel, collect Old Christian books, study history, visit museums, study theology, and we are passionate about Jesus, family, homeschool, & Scotland/Ireland (In that order!)
Brian Pollock, Co-Founder; Former Board Member now with the Lord
Bryan & Susan Pollock of Tacoma were married in1987 and are parents of nine children, ranging from 20 to a baby born February 07. They have homeschooled for 20 years and have served together in the Christian and homeschooling community in many capacities. When not involved in the daily demands and delights of ministry, both at home and at church, the Pollocks find time to enjoy music (piano, bagpipe and violin) and participate in historic reenacting at Fort Nisqually near Tacoma. Bryan was pastor of Pilgrim Bible Church in Steilacoom, WA, until he went home to Christ on November 9, 2009 following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. (1/2010)
